Organisational history: from strategy to implementation
for Cafs
In 2020, Ashtree Projects was engaged by Cafs Ballarat to develop a strategy for managing the organisation’s history and records. Since delivering the strategy we have played a role in its activation, including ongoing engagement with stakeholders to guide decision making and the coordination and delivery of priority initiatives.
LOUD Fence Strategic planning
for LOUD Fence
Intiially worked with the LOUD Fence board to facilitate the collaborative development of high-level vision and strategy for the newly incorporated charitable association. We feel privileged to have continued our work with this organisation after supporting the development of their strategy and have recently carried out further facilitation and strategic support.
Continuous Voices memorial
for City of Ballarat
Ashtree have been facilitating workshops, including supporting collaboration of the community reference group who are tasked with deciding how to present creative research outcomes to prospective memorial designers. We were also contracted to conduct a comprehensive thematic coding and data analysis of qualitative interviews which will be used to inform design.
Program evaluation - circus in schools
for Regional Arts Victoria
We completed a program evaluation for the Circus Active program on behalf of Regional Arts Victoria. Funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET), Circus Active involved circus artists’ placements at two Victorian secondary schools - Mount Rowan Secondary College and Melton Specialist School.
Research to inform decision-making & strategy
for TAG Health
We have conducted a range of desktop research, data analysis and reports for TAG Health that are used to inform decision-making and strategy design across the health sector.
Collaborating to tell the histories of 4,000+ children
for City of Ballarat
The site of the former Ballarat Orphan Asylum, Ballarat Orphanage, and Ballarat Children’s Home lay dormant for 10+ years after it was purchased by private developers. Ashtree have been collaborating closely with a working group of past-’inmates’ of the institutions to guide the heritage interpretation and story telling that will take place at the site.
Art Attack evaluation
for Clunes Neighbourhood House & Asking for Trouble
Ashtree provided evaluation services for a 2-year creative program co-designed with young people in the rural victorian town of Clunes. Evaluation was guided by a Theory of Change framework and employing ethnographic, participatory methods along with qualitative interviews and focus groups.
